Disappointed in Michigan1 9/4/2024

I find I quite hilarious that LG gives a delivery date but uses a trucking company that has a schedule that does not care when lg promised delivery According to LG. I was supposed to receive my washing machine August 28th 2024. I am still waiting. The trucking company all though my machine is 90 minutes from my house didnt have it scheduled till November 15 2024 I have several hours of conversations with LG and the trucking company trying to get them to just let me pick it up. But being all I could get were call centers. For both companies. The best they said they could do would be September 6 2024. They sent me a second confirmation date for the September 6 delivery but they are still sending me a link to schedule said delivery. That being said. We will see September 6 if I actually receive it. As for a rating on a product LG thinks I have had a few days to use. I only hope their product is better than their ability to deliver is

Terrible Experience with LG Washer Ordered Direct

I purchased the washer on 6/2/24 and the delivery immediately changed from 6/10 to 6/22 as soon as they charged my credit card. Absolutely no communication until 15 hours before delivery Broken unit delivered on 6/22 squealed and screeched on wash cycle and spin cycle no matter if it was 3 pairs of mesh shorts or 8 large towels. After a week of getting the run around and sent to AI websites and hung up on I sent THREE emails with video and audio. Heard nothing for 7 days then got a one sentence email saying they were sending a technician sometime on July 16. He called when he was driving to my house. Declared it installed properly and broken needing a replacement and that he would notify Customer Service. HEARD NOTHING FOR 4 WEEKS so I started to call. Got the run around put on hold several times for 45 minutes to an hour transferred and hung up on immediately. Kept calling. They wanted to send ANOTHER technician. More run around. The Marion called saying they would do a return refund and reorder. I found out the unit would be picked up in OCTOBER at the earliest then a week to warehouse week to scan in and send info to Returns and Replacements then another week to credit my credit card then I could reorder and spend either 3 or 7 weeks waiting for delivery again So the washer I ordered on June 2 would not be replaced until December or January I said it was unacceptable they should bring the new washer and pick up the old at the same time. Now Im getting 2-3 emails 2-3 text messages and 6am phone calls from the pick-up company RXO to schedule a pick-up I never agreed to. They indeed left me a message in late August that there were no appointments in August no appointments in September but might have one in October. So the new working washer I ordered June 2 MIGHT get replaced in January when I notified them 2 days after delivery that it was broken.

This machine replaced one that Id had for 15+ years. It was still working but the dryer broke so I replaced them both. I loved my old LG and expected the best from this one. So far Im not disappointed. Install was quick and done well. Laundry all caught up. Sheets clean delicates look great. Machine quiet looks great.

SUD error message with every wash cycle

We struggle with getting this washer to complete a full wash cycle. The sud error message comes on no matter how little detergent we put in. Weve had 4 repairmen out. Weve used the washer cleaning products bought a low suds detergent run the machine with no detergent but the error message continues. LG can you recommend a detergent to try or other solutions? Warranty is expired and were stuck with a machine that cant run a full cycle.

Pathetic Customer Service

I bought this item on a promotion for $715. The item was damaged when I received it and the item was sent back to LG on August 9. I asked for a replacement and LG put in a ticket for replacement on August 14. LG then closed that request and instead refunded me $715 for the purchase on August 16. I called and they said I had to just repurchase the item. The item is now $900 without the promotion. I was then told I would be given a promotional code later that day. I called back later and they said 48-72 hours. I called again 3 days later and they said 24-48 hours. It has been 10 days since my order was delivered damaged. I received the refund but still do not have a washing machine. Avoid buying from LG at all costs and just buy from Lowes or a local appliance store. Their customer service is an absolute joke.

They dont answer phone in a professional manner the tech never contacted me back I had to wait 2 weeks and constantly called and was told 24-48 hours then told the tech would call me after he ordered parts/ how can he do that if he never spoke to me to find out what was wrong? Quiet and Quick - great washer

I have had the washer for about 2 months. So far I think it is great. It is very quiet and works fast. Our clothes come out cleaner than any washer we have used and seem softer. We are a family of four and the washer has plenty of capacity for us. I was unsure of the need for WiFi but like getting the alerts of the laundry being done downloading custom wash cycles and knowing how many washes were completed to run a clean cycle. Overall this has been a great purchase so far.

Id love to leave a more detailed product review but despite delivery being scheduled 2 weeks ago I havent received my washer or dryer. Numerous emails and phone calls to customer services and no one can tell me where my appliances or when I can get them. Worst service ever. If I could give zero stars I would.

Buy from Somewhere other than LG

I have read great reviews about this machine and I decided to buy direct from LG. I have not even received the machine yet along with the washer I bought to match and the experience with delivery and customer service has been abysmal. I added installation to my order and when I call customer support no one can seem to tell me if I need any hoses or adapters for installation or if that is included. I have spent over an hour waiting on support with no answer and even when I ask to be called back I dont get a call. I received a call from the installer one day before the machines was going to be delivered only to be told that they did not yet have the machines and that I would need to schedule a week later. Maybe you could expect such poor service and lack of delivery from a small company or during a pandemic but certainly makes me regret my purchase before I have even received the washer/dryer.

Fails after 3.5 years

Was wonderful Had 3.5 years. Leaks on floor Open door and put 1 gallon water in tub and it drips out Detergent dispenser area rusting LG does not have flat rate repair where we live Sad. We liked it. Not happy it failed so soon

Terrible Customer Service

Terrible customer service. Failed to provide accurate availability and delivery timeline which forced me to purchase the stacking kit required for installation in our space from another store before my delivery date. Customer service then cancelled the free stacking kit on my order and refused to reimburse or ship me the free kit. I will not recommend LG specifically because of their customer support - their products are not good enough to make up for it.

Great features but capacity limited.

Im generally happy with the washer. It has the cycles I need and it seems to get my clothes clean. However I am finding multiple capacity issues that I didnt have with my previous washing machine. First the recommendation that I only wash one blanket at a time. Second the detergent compartment cant hold the amount of detergent Tide recommends for full load. Third the storage pedestal is too short for standard Tide and Clorox 2 bottles.

I bought this new washer in May 2024. It has worked flawlessly and it is very dependable. This new washer is an improvement over the other LG washer is have or had as they have correct the issue of water hammer from the fast closing water valves. Great improvement.

Great washer hope you dont need service

This is my second LG front load washer. Both have been great but the new one developed a balance problem while spinning. Ive had it for 8 months and it has been down for nearly 6 weeks. Home Depot summed it up well. LG has great products just hope you never need their service.

It may be a great machine but we have no way of knowing. The machine was broken when delivered and we have been trying to get LG to repair or replace for more than a month. They have not returned calls that they promised and service people have not shown up. I would strongly recommend going with a machine from a competitor.

The LG Washer and dryer were purchased to replace my 17 year old front loader and dryer. I had a bit of difficulty adjusting to the technology. When I called for help I was directed to the FB page and messenger run by customer service. I was extremely impressed with their patience and their ability to quickly recognize my concerns. The washer and dryer is GREAT Permanent press really comes out wrinkle free. Although there is not a specific hand wash setting the delicate setting with some tweaks works beautiful. there was no problem purchasing the suggested mesh bags for delicates at Boscovs a local department store. Towels come out truly clean and fresh.

Unbelievable that it has no drum light. When you look at the advertisements it deceptively looks like there is one. Much lower priced models from this and other companies have one. This model with AI and all the other 12 wash cycles and the other bells and whistles does not What a let down. Shame on you LG

Great washing - Poor Support

Prior to Delivery The old washing machine sits in an overflow catch pan. The filter clean out door on the lower left corner of the LG washer has no dimensions I could find so a lot of concern that it would be be able to be opened when the LG washer was sitting in the pan. It turns out the installers could crank up the leveling screws so it would clear. Operating The control panel requires bending over something difficult for older folks. When I asked LG if the phone app would allow seeing the control panel the response was its not my job ask someone else. Maybe in the future they will support the control panel on the app? Function Does a great job washing stuff

Used for a month so far its still pretty efficient. I like how it connects with the app to notify me when a load is done. I like the different wash options and the built-in intelligence to make sure the load is washed thoroughly.

Some nice features but also limitations

I like the selection of wash cycles notifications to app and Amazon Alexa and the support for cold water wash. I also liked that it supports using liquid detergent with a time-delayed wash. I was disappointed that the detergent compartment is too small to hold what Tide recommends for a full HE load. I can only pour up to level 4 out of the 5 levels listed on the measuring cup. I was also disappointed that the storage pedestal cannot hold a 92 oz. Tide bottle. My previous HE washer could hold the full level 5 of Tide plus the full level 2 of Clorox 2 color safe bleach and the pedestal could hold the 92 oz. Tide bottle.

Good product undermined by LGs installation team. The product itself probably deserves 5 stars. The installation team was appalling. The re-installation team was not much better. The product was not leveled and the team walked away with the leveling wrench supplied with the product. They tramped dirt in and didnt clean up. Their hands dirtied the laundry walls and the product. They didnt know how to install to one side or other of the available space. The second team worked this out. The incompetence of both delivery teams was not helped by their lack of English language skills. That said two weeks of operation have been incident-free and effective. I recommend the product but be warned. Youll probably have to supervise them closely when they install it

Weve been using it for about a month and couldnt be happier. Its a world away from our ancient top loader. Very quiet vibration free so many features we havent even tried them all out yet. Cant wait to see how much lower our water bill gets Clothes come out very clean and hardly damp. The app is great and were still surprise when my phone dings with a message from the washer My only question: why did we wait so long to upgrade?

Impressive. I had an LG front loader that was over 16 years old and finally bit the dust. loved it too So I replaced like with like that is a bit bigger than the prior one. However this one does have a musty smell even with leaving the door open. This did not happen with my original but I am still pleased with my purchase

Great with two caveats

This washer is a lot better than the one I bought 9+ years ago. It cleans better is quieter and much more stable less vibration overall and I really like it except for two things which is why I deducted one star. Its very difficult to read the labels on the display even in a well-lighted room so its hard to see what the little lights mean. The other thing is that I am extremely sensitive to EMF and cannot have wi-fi anywhere in my immediate environment. Before I bought this set also got the matching dryer I asked LG via chat if the wi-fi could be disabled and was told it was disabled by default. Not so This machine gives off a full 4 bars of radiation unless one opens the machine and disconnects the chip sending the signal even when the machine is off. I think this is a serious design flaw and should be rethought. Health should not be sacrificed for convenience and wi-fi is not good for ones health. Otherwise though this machine is the best
