Many Problems with this dishwasher

Remodeled a condo this year. Bought all LG kitchen appliances. Already owned LG washer and dryer purchased 2 years ago. This dishwasher is disappointing. Prongs in the second and third trays do not stay in position and keep wanting to fold down. The store where I purchased had LG ship me two new racks. Same problems developed quickly. Never had this problem in 40 years with any other brand of dishwasher. In addition after using it for 6 1/2 months it still smells like it is burning oil when it runs. Had service call on it right after it was installed and the service repairman said it would go away. It never has. The controls are also bothersome because it keeps resetting back to long cycles. I never use anything but Turbo. Intermittently it resets the drying cycle to overnight. It is not intuitive at first as to how to turn off nighttime drying. We do love the top tray that holds silverware. Great feature.

If youre looking for a machine that will leave your dishes dry dont buy this system. It cleans fine but Ive had it for 3 months now and it gets more an more annoying that even with the Extra Dry feature turned on it doesnt dry the dishes and I have to wipe then down when its finished.

I replaced my old dishwasher when it croaked. Since I have a 5.0 LG front loading washing machine and love its performance and features it was an easy decision as to the brand to purchase. Well no its not LG rep said Im washing the dishes too much before putting them in so I put them in dirtier and that didnt work. When we first had the dishwasher installed I was interested to see just how well it lived upto the various claims that were made concerning its performance. It was replacing a 5 yr old dishwasher that was installed by the builder and did not do a very good job plus it occasionally leaked. I have challenged this dishwasher with my crock pot with food stuck on that had been warmed a couple of times a skillet that I had used to fry pot stickers and I didnt pre-wash just poured off olive oil cat bowls that had small remains of their canned food that are dried onto their dishes clear glass coffee pots that were stained with coffee and oils Pyrex dishes that had been used to bake pork spare ribs. I was ecstatic at the results Everything was totally clean - not a speck of food left. In addition the dishwasher is so quiet that the first few times I used it I had to periodically check to make sure it was running. I also love the fingerprint repellant stainless steel front - it looks great with minimal cleaning on my part.

I have never been so excited for features on a new dishwasher before but I had not known what I was missing. The Night Dry feature helps keep the clean dishes dry when no one is up to open the door when the cycle has finished. The adjustable middle/upper drawer allows for easy placement of large dishes and cups. Although a third rack may seem a simple addition there are hardly words to explain the brilliance of this feature. It is slotted to hold the utensils sideways and can wash thoroughly so many place settings. Even the cooking utensils fit in the third rack We had no idea what we were missing and have been raving about this dishwasher and the third rack to all our friends and family. The SmartThinQ app isnt as detailed or helpful as we hoped but it is an interesting start for how technology assists home conveniences. The abundance and variety of cycles and options are mind-boggling though. So many and we are still learning the ins and outs of the dishwasher but LOVE IT

Our previous dishwasher was still functioning after 19 years but was so loud we could barely do anything else while it was running. This LG dishwasher is so quiet we cant even hear it until it drains. And I love the shallow rack on top for utensils.

We couldnt be happier with the new dishwasher. Weve been testing it and even pots and pans come out clean. The only test its failed is melted on cheese. Weve had an LG refrigerator for the last 5 years and have been happy with it too.

I bought a complete LG package in May 2019. Since then we have moved into a new home. The first thing we did bought another LG appliance package. We loved our LG products so much we replaced the ones in our new home. The dishwasher is superior to all others I have owned in the past 50 years. It cleans the dishes almost in silence they come out clean without water spots. Our new appliance also came with a steam feature that we have yet to use. Its for people to steam their dishes for extremely dirty dishes. We love all the features and the excellent professional look of the LG appliances.

I bought this about a month ago and I love it It is so quiet you hardly know its on and it plays you a little tune to let you know its done. I can fit a lot in it and I love the feature of doing a half load. Its only my husband so the half load comes in handy. I also like the third rack on top for your oversized utensils. My daughter has the same one and she loves hers too.

This dishwasher is incredibly quiet. I can hear it running if I stand nearby. The only noticeable sound is from the water draining into the drain of the sink. The middle and lower racks offer multiple options for configuring the flip up dividers. The top rack is shallow and perfect for large tools like spatulas spoons and tongs.

We have only had this dishwasher for about 2 weeks and have used it twice. It has a lot of great features which I havent gotten to use yet. The utensil tray up top takes some getting used to. Im finding it hard to place my bowls in the top rack as the rack is not totally flat. But so far happy.

I have only had this dishwasher for 1 1/2 weeks and have not used all of the features yet. The third rack for utensils is very useful. The ability to raise and lower the top rack as well as to fold down some of the tines on both top and bottom to accommodate odd size dishes is outstanding. Dishes are washed well AND the machine is unbelievably quiet Thus far I am very pleased with my purchase.

We have only had this dishwasher for about 1 month. So far we are satisfied with it. It takes some getting used to the small rack for utensils but we are working on that. It is not as quiet as I would have liked but we run it mainly at night so not much of a problem. One of the main reasons for selecting this machine was the feature to wash a half load. It works but it seems to work better when you use the top half. No place to put glasses and for sure no place for any plastics on bottom rack.

Purchased this unit in mid-August from Sears but it took them over a month to have it shipped and installed. Notwithstanding unit is super quiet cleans tea stains on glassware/pitchers with ease cleans caked on foods with no residue third rack is a great innovation for the silverware and no nesting of utensils. Roomy and flexible with adjustable shelf and tines. Night dry function works great and even plastics come out dry.

My wife loves the features like the top rack for putting your large kitchen utensils like spatulas large spoons etc. and she has made comment that it is much easier to keep the door cleaner as it doesnt show fingerprints on the stainless. I love how quiet it is you hardly know it is running.

I love this dishwasher. I usually wash by hand before placing them in the dishwasher. But this one you have to just scrape and place in and they come out clean. Its very quiet you hardly can hear it. The only thing about it that bugs me is the chime it does when it is done. The washer and dryer have the same tune. They all go off at the same time..
