Professional delivery and installation is available for every product we sell. We would be happy to coordinate delivery and installation for you.

Extended warranties are usually very inexpensive and can save you thousands in the future. Some can even cover extra costs that result, such as cost of food that spoils when your fridge dies. It's simple and inexpensive to purchase extended warranties and one of the smartest ways to protect your investment.

Appliances can be large, heavy and expensive. You probably don't have the special tools or expertise needed to fix them in a crisis. If you can spare a few thousand dollars without batting an eyelash for new appliances should they break tomorrow, don't buy a warranty. But if you're like most of us, protect yourself by purchasing inexpensive extended warranties when you buy a new product and save yourself big money in the long run.

Good layout

MJK_69 5/28/2019

Because it is so wide I can always see everything in our fridge - no digging through to see the back. And it holds a deceptively large amount of food; I can always manage to fit more in. The deep drawers are well designed as well. The only negative is the water filter countdown timer. It is not based on actual usage; it counts down at the same rate no matter if the ice is being consumed or not. For this price I expect something that is sensing usage, to give me useful information.

Strange noises

My refrigerator is making a very strange pinging sound that I cant seem to figure out where its coming from. In addition, the motor seems to be be running very loud.

Very Dissapointed

10/30/2016

We bought this fridge three years ago. It has an inherent defect where the switches that activate the lights snap off from very casual use. We have had to replace the left side once and the right twice in only three years of use. This is inexcusable in an appliance that is over $7,000.

Modern look

9/22/2016

I purchased this refrigerator about a month ago. So far I am happy with it. I like that it has 4 smaller drawers for meats, cheeses and veggies. There is plenty space in the frig. The freezer is a little small but I have another one so it's not an issue for me. In the past I have always had a side by side with the drink/ice dispenser on the door. I like the look of the french doors better but I do miss the drink dispenser. Mainly having the ice on the door. I wish there was a way to get the ice out of the bin without having to touch the ice.

Great Lines

Shopped for a replacement 42" built in to replace a dead 15 year old KitchenAid model and found prices all over the place. Lucked out yo find a supplier who was remodeling their showroom and got a 42" floor model for half of the other vendors I shopped and they hauled off the old unit. I was also able to package a deal to replace some other kitchen appliances as well. Love the styling and the Updated look.

Terrible Investment

9/26/2015

Our refrigerator is almost 6 years old. We have had numerous repairs. The freezer drawer tends to ice over on the runners making it difficult to pull the drawer in and out. As a result, the drawer has been left open a crack on numerous occasions causing thawing which left us with spoiled frozen goods. On another note, the drain under the freezer drawer is prone to clog. When we had to have the repairman out to fix the clog, he had to take the entire bottom drawer apart....not an easy repair to do. The rubber stripping on the inside of the upper doors are ripping and continually collect mold even after cleaning frequently, and the rubber stripping that runs along the top of our bottom freezer has split. The Compressor goes on and off too often and is extremely loud, even after cleaning around the compressor... which we have done and continually do. Now we are nervous because we have been told by our repairman that when the electrical panel goes out, which could be any day, they have discontinued the part and cannot replace it. This appliance costs us over $7000. That's a huge investment!! We are not happy with this product...DO NOT PURCHASE!

Thank goodness we found you.

8/12/2015

We have owned a KitchenAid Architect Series frog for 15 years, and it finally stopped working. We were overjoyed to find this one, which was a floor model with the "old" handle design. Since we have all KitchenAid appliances in our kitchen, we were very displeased to see that the handle has been completely redesigned now. So we were thrilled that the appliance store had this unused "old" model that we could purchase!

8/10/2015

We have had our new Fridge/Freezer for a couple of months. I was disappointed to find out after the fact that it is Not energy star. My mistake for not checking out carefully. Love the barn doors on top but the freezer is tiny and it is hard to see what you really have. Ice maker is excellent...actually has large capacity which is nice.

A good purchase

Juline 5/3/2015

Before we bought this unit, we did a lot of research. We saw some reviews that indicated problems with the freezer. But so far, we have used it for three months, there has no issue with the freezer. The upper double doors shut properly. We are happy with the purchase and it is a good value for the price.

Terribly Disappointing

reno2014 1/7/2015

My produce rots prematurely in the drawers and I wind up storing most in our prior KitchenAid fridge now in the basement , the ice maker's water filter leaked and damaged our hardwood floors, and the french doors flap open no matter how gently we close the doors. We bought this in February 2014 for a new kitchen. The French doors have bounced open from the start, and the friendly repairman said that's the nature of this fridge. It's lame, is what it is. Makes my husband crazy that a follow-up press is required every single time, and with three kids, you can be sure that doesn't always happen. NO, the alarm does not sound if the door is only slightly ajar. The strong seal of a SubZero has me wishing we'd just gone for it. Worse yet, in June the waterfilter cracked open (how?? repairman supposes it happened at the factory and took time to become prob) and flooded our kitchen, damaging the brand new hardwood floors. The fridge doesn't hold as much as I'd expected, but I have no complaints about the freezer or icemaker. The freezer is well designed and functions perfectly well. All in all, a disappointing purchase. If you can afford this fridge, you may want to save elsewhere and upgrade to the Sub Zero.

Refrigerators replacement;

Kitchen savy 12/22/2014

Our kitchen aid built in refrigerator had to be replaced. We did stay with Kitchen aid, although I had a concern, as we had a lot of trouble with our first One. Hopefully this one will be much better. I do like the style of it. And so far it is working well for me. Looks great in my kitchen, and it is very functional.

The layout of the french door refrigerator with the bottom freezer unit is a perfect combination for a busy housewife who loves to cook. I'm constantly in and out of the frigerator getting ingredients which are so easy to locate. The shelving is so functional allowing me to basically design my own interior space.

Good Looking, Easy to Use

Jerimiah 11/30/2014

After 13 1/2 years our old refrigerator went out. We needed a 42 inch wide to fit the space. The Kitchen Aid met our requirements at a reasonable price. I gave it a "Good" rating at this time. After we have used the product a little longer, I hope to give it an "Excellent" rating.

Love the frig

happywithfrig 11/5/2014

I am pleasantly surprised with this purchase. The refrigerator is huge and I love being able to fit large casserole pans etc. The freezer is bigger than expected and things don't get buried like I thought they might. Being smaller is actually good for me as things don't get lost in the bottom. My only complaints so far is that it is very loud (intermittently) and the water filter (for ice cubes) will need replacement much more frequently than expected. We rarely use ice (maker is off most of the time) and already filter is well used (it does give the percent usage which is helpful). Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

A Darn great built in Fridge!!

Fast Freddy 10/4/2014

I refinished the kitchen in my newly bought home. I had a mix of appliances in my other home. So I chose to use all KitchenAid Appliances in my new place. Not only did I match everything, it was all bought at a great price due to the buy 4 appliances discount! Not a problem with any of Appliances. The Built in Fridge, Dual Fuel Con.Oven, Above Stove microwave and Silent top of the line Dishwasher ALL work Great . Who says we North Americans can't compete!!

Horrible

Alyson 9/24/2014

Our refrigerator is 4 years old. We have had numerous repairs. Once the appliance ran out of warranty, we find that repairs are very costly. The freezer drawer tends to ice over on the runners making it difficult to pull the drawer in and out. As a result, our kids have left the drawer open just a crack on numerous occasions, creating a wet mess. The drain under the freezer drawer is prone to clog. We have replaced gaskets there as well. The rubber stripping on the inside of the upper doors were continually collecting mold. We were told new stripping was needed, along with another couple hundred bucks. We currently are awaiting a repair that sounds like a new motor is needed. This appliance costs us over $6,000. That's a huge investment for such poor quality.

kitchen aid refrigerator freezer

LEBj 9/6/2014

This is a nice unit. it is good to only open half of the unit instead of the entire face to access refrigerated items. The entire unit including the refrigerator and the freezer has much less space because it is a built-in cabinet depth. I have already scheduled a repair visit as the inside upper door flap is not attached properly. It appears to be a manufacturing defect. Too bad the quality control check did not see this. The person who placed the door flap in place had to have noticed and "jerry-rigged" the door flap to fit.

No water dispenser

melinhart 9/2/2014

We just got this fridge installed in our renovated kitchen. Also just found out there is no water dispenser anywhere. They tout the filter - but I guess that is just for filtered water ice. Ridiculous not to have a way to get water. (Many French door fridges have a water dispenser inside.) I do NOT recommend this for anyone with kids. I am seething over this.

Freezer not as good as I would like

Meghan 8/29/2014

I have this Kitchenaid for a few years now and I like my Sub Zero better. The design is nice enough but the freezer is not on a separate compressor from the frig so it does not run as well as I would like. The ice bucket freezes up and makes it difficult to get the ice out. There is ice building up around the aperture of the freezer drawer which I have to break off.

Very happy with purchase!

Lori G 8/14/2014

I looked at several brands of 42" built-ins and this KitchenAid was thousands less than some of the others. Looks beautiful in my kitchen, fit my cut out perfectly. My only complaint is that the doors can swing shut too hard if you let go of the handle while closing and the items in the top of the door can shift forward, resting against their little overhead doors and you have to be careful they don't fall out.

excellent !

Karamba 8/11/2014

We replaced our regular size refrigerator with builtin Kitchenaid French door refrigerator. I knew it would look better than with the old one but I never expected how our kitchen would completely transform. The place that was an eye sore is now the focal point of the kitchen and looks very high end. So far the fridge works good. We owned many refrigerators in the past but all of them had problems with icemakers, besides the ice from home refrigerators have poignant smell, I am not sure how anyone can use it for food. So we did not bother connecting this one to the water and consequently I cannot comment on the ice making feature. I like the fact that the internals are shallow and everything is visible with a naked eye. In the old regular depth fridge, we had tendency to push things to the back, and forget it there for weeks. To sum it up I am pleased with the purchase.

Do not buy or extend your warranty

FrustratedConsumer 3/27/2014

Worst and most expensive appliance mistake ever. There's a design flaw with the drain that leads to a build up of frozen water in the bottom of the freezer which will cause water to drip out from the door. The first warranty called repair guy who came out missed this and the problem recurred. Now this problem has stressed out the cooling system and my $7,800 fridge is NOT repairable. Repair guys says KitchenAid might cut me a check, but it will be depreciated by the age of the Fridge. If you have this fridge - extend your warranty. If you don't, you are lucky

We love our fridge now. However, it was a rough start. It was damaged when delivered. I did not work. We had 3 different repair folks come out to fix it. The last person was great and did a fabulous job. He really knew what to do and how to do it and got it done. Unfortunately, the first two repair guys did not. It took a month to get it working. After that, Im thrilled. Keeps food perfect--way longer and better than any other fridge. Looks fabulous.

Falling apart quickly

pguidi 11/23/2013

When building our new home we took pride in furnishing our kitchen with all Kitchen Aid appliances. In the past few years we have ran into several reoccurring problems with our ice maker and freezer. The freezer door is very hard to shut which in turn means it gets left open and the unit freezes up. The drain hole also clogs with ice because the ice maker will dump even when the ice drawer is open, causing the ice to fall into the bottom of the freezer. The buildup of ice in the bottom of our freezer has caused leaks and has caused severe damage to our hardwood floors.

Worst refrigerator that I have ever owned

Scherervillebill 11/10/2013

The worst refrigerator I have ever owned. Purchased in September, 2012, we had to call for service four times in six months (freezer quit and everything melted, ice maker froze up regularly, etc) and then were sent an all-new refrigerator of the same model. Today is the fourth time that a service person is out working on this one as the ice maker quit last week (for the third time). Horrible quality, a million excuses but VERY undependable. RUN, do not walk, away from this refrigerator!!!

Beautiful, practical, great features, silent

Snugs2004 8/6/2013

I love my new refrigerator! It looks great, the space is very well thought out and it fits a lot of stuff. Food is always at the correct temperature and it is very silent. I am very happy with my fridge and highly recommend it!

Love my new fridge

I love this fridge - the french doors allow me to put large trays in. I have plenty of room and the freezer is big enough for a family of 2.

A great product!

We purchased one in 2009 for a kitchen reno, and liked it so well, that we didn't consider any other option but this model, when we built our new home in 2012!

Poorly designed

DomesticGoddess007 5/13/2013

Limited space in fridge. I had a Sub-Zero for 18 years and loved it. I do think you should follow their designs. Very limited space for vegies. No place for eggs.
